1 Day Wax carving course

Carve your design in wax for a gemstone.

Duration 10.30am-6pm.

This course will be led by Lukas Pasikowski, certified tutor and Assessor in Jewellery Manufacture with 20 years of experience in the trade.  Designed for learners with previous experience in jewellery making. The aim of the course is to teach you wax carving techniques in creating jewellery pieces. During the course you will learn how to use wax carving in jewellery making:

Plan of a day:

• - carving the design- you will carve your own or given 3D design using different techniques
• - how to make a wax design for a stone setting.
• - how to repair broken wax
• - pricing carving a piece towards the budget

Summary:

Wax carving is the skill improving your design and manufacture techniques. For goldsmiths or anyone interested in making jewellery or sculptural objects.
